Report : Samsung to stop Galaxy Alpha production

The Korean manufacturer Samsung is reportedly planning to stop the production of its Galaxy Alpha smartphone as it gets ready to launch the comparatively cheaper Galaxy A5 in its home market.
According a report in the Korean publication ET News
, Galaxy Alpha hasn’t been very popular despite being the first Samsung phone with a metal frame and as the pressure mounts up for it to reduce the prices of its smartphones, the company is planning to replace the Galaxy Alpha with Galaxy A5. The Alpha will only remain in production until the existing components in the inventory aren’t cleared out, which is expected to happen around Feb-end next year.
ET News also notes that Galaxy A5 will be released sometime in January or February in South Korea for around 400,000 won. The A5 features 5-inch HD super AMOLED display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter.
