Torrent File
A torrent file is a computer file that contains metadata about files and folder to be distributed, and usually also a list of the network locations of trackers, which are computers.
Torrent file are named with the extension .torrent as in myfile.torrent
Torrent Client
A torrent client is the software used to download the .torrent file from a host computer to your computer through peer to peer file sharing. When you are downloading a torrent file you are also uploading it as well because that's how peer to peer works.
Some examples of such software’s are:
Bit torrent, U Torrent, Bit Comet, Transmission (LINUX) etc.
