From the last couple of days people started asking me, why we have to rechage with Rs. 99/-, and then why monthly recharge. SO actually thing is that, if you are a JIO customer, then you have to recharge with Rs. 99/- to extend your number validity till 31st march, 2018. If suppose you don't pay 99 INR within 31st march, 2017, and still want to continue JIO services, then you have to recharge with non prime plans. The prime plans are 10x cheaper than non prime plans. And yet after its getting a paid network, still JIO is providing India, the cheapest price comparing to other operators in India.
